Heavy riffs. Unpredictable songwriting. Powerful vocals. No rules.

MirrorGrinn are an alternative rock/metal band with a sound shaped by contrasting influences, unconventional songwriting and a genuine love of playing loud.

The band's story began when guitarists Joe H and Rob H started jamming together in a leaky old shed. What initially seemed like two guitarists heading in completely different harmonic directions became the foundation of something much more interesting. Their contrasting styles created an unusual combination of tension, melody and dissonance that would become central to the MirrorGrinn sound.

Warrick joined on bass, bringing a guitarist's approach to an increasingly complex collection of songs, before Joe Andrews joined as vocalist. His powerful, rough-edged vocal style gave the band the contrast they were looking for, while the introduction of Kyle behind the drum kit added another dimension to their already hard-hitting sound.

MirrorGrinn spent more than two years writing, rehearsing and refining their material before finally hitting the stage. Their first show delivered exactly what the band had been building towards — an energetic crowd, call-and-response moments and even a spontaneous micro-moshpit.

Musically, the band draw from a wide range of influences, including punk, nu-metal, groove metal, progressive metal and darker strains of rock and metal. Those influences come together through heavy guitar work, driving bass and drums, contrasting vocals and songwriting that isn't afraid to take the unexpected route.

For MirrorGrinn, the aim is simple: write interesting music, put on a great show and keep pushing the sound forward.

Heavy. Melodic. Unpredictable. MirrorGrinn.
